Preparing for a New Season
I just want to start off this blog by saying thank you for supporting me. I have so many amazing people partnering with me this year, and I'm so excited to be able to share about how my ministry is going with you! It has actually been a whole year since I started doing ministry full-time, but it has really flown by. I've had so many amazing experiences this year, and the Lord has blessed me in so many ways. Full-time ministry certainly has some tough times, but it has some great ones too!
Fundraising
Fundraising is always super tough, with a lot of up's and down's, but I feel like this year has been more positive than negative. It's been harder for sure, since I'm having to cast my nets wider in a sense, but it has been so encouraging to encounter people with the same passion for campus ministry as I have. I am so close to reaching my goal, so continued prayers would be very appreciated!
New Leader Team
I'm incredibly excited about our leader team. I know almost all of our male small group leaders and there is so much potential there. I think Denton could really flourish this year with the help of these awesome students we'll have leading this year. Plus, I have the chance to lead my own small group again, as well as overseeing others. I love having my own Core to lead, and can't wait to see who the Lord puts in my group this year.
Moving Campuses
Moving campuses has been both rough but also encouraging at the same time somehow. It's weird stepping into a leadership position when you feel like the odd man out. In a lot of interactions people almost seem to wait for me to take the dominant role, while at the same time I'm just hoping they will show me to ropes in this new community! It's been a hard balance to strike, but luckily I've met some amazing people who have helped me get connected and make me feel like I belong up here.
Overall I just can't wait for the school year to start. I believe that is probably the first time in my life I've ever said that...
Pray for the Denton community as a whole, that they can find stability and strength this coming year.
Prayer Requests:
Pray for the first few weeks of school and that we will meet a lot of new students!
Pray for the Denton community as a whole, that they can find stability and strength this coming year.
Pray for Darby and I's fundraising. We're currently at about 90% of our goal.
Glad both of you have gotten you're footing at Denton!
